What is Occupational Health?
Occupational health is the health of the employed populations. This involves the consideration of the two way relationship between work and health. It is as much related to the effects of the working environment on the health as the influence of the workers’ state of health on their ability to perform the tasks for which they were employed. Its main aim is to prevent, rather than cure, ill health from whoever it arises in the workplace.
